Summer Reading

Summer reading can seem like a chore to struggling readers. Encourage reluctant and struggling readers by introducing them to magazines, graphic novels, and audio books.  You might also suggest chapter books like the Cam Jansen series by David Adler, the Judy Moody and Stink series by Megan McDonald, the Magic Treehouse series by Mary Pope Osborne, the Hanks Zipzer series by Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver, and the Beezus and Ramona books by Beverly Cleary.
